The Building Division is excited to announce it has moved to New City Hall! After extensive renovations, City Hall, located at 316 N 26th St, is ready to welcome customers to the Building Division office located on the 5th floor. The elevators are still being renovated, and the lobbies are being completed, so please excuse our mess and follow all posted instructions.

The City of Billings Building Division is dedicated to protecting life, health, and property through the enforcement of mandatory minimum building codes and standards. Most building projects in the City of Billings including new construction, demolition, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, remodeling, and repairs require building permits prior to construction. Ensuring that your project is in compliance with the currently adopted building codes, and approved by the Building Division, is an important way to protect your safety as well as your investment.
